The Prince's Shadowby `Saimain

An old, melancholy painting of Luke and his ever-faithful servant Danny, who follows him everywhere and has become known as "Luke's shadow". They're in a forest of illusions at the moment, because I wanted to paint them there.

Edit: How the heck did this get a DD? o___O It's an ooold and ugly piece... *is honored nonetheless* I wish a better picture had been chosen, though, this one's a rather cruddy experiment with so many flaws.. ^_^;;

I do have to wonder about DA's DD system sometimes, but I agree that this has its own rustic kind of beauty. True, most of your works are more polished and perfect than this one, but sometimes a rougher style works, too. In this case, I think it helps emphasise the mood and the creepiness of that forest. Falen sooooo should've listened to his horse! Horses know things about creepy forests.

Only the artist sees the flaws. You are crazy if you think another pic deserved a DD. I absolutely love this. I love the expressions on both of their faces. If I look long enough I really can see the loyalty on the boys face. This piece did deserve the DD and obviously someone else saw it too. Congratulations. This is definitely my new favorite piece.
