Since I was getting so many suggestions for mermaids/merfolk, I dug through my old work folder and found several drawings I did back in 2003-2004 of *Rule404's adorable mer-couple, Kai and Yanai. There were a few more sketches, but I liked these ones the best. ^__^

This is so pretty. I love the fairytail-ish style, their tails and the way they blend into each other. The movements seem so natural too, specially on the bottom left corner. Such an awesome job.
