A very personal (and very green) painting of Faeren and a Healer character, who shall remain nameless. Whereas Faeren was condemned in "Forsaken" to solitude and a continual dependence on the Forest for his very existence, the Healer grants him a way of escape and the perilous chance at a new destiny. In short: the Healer's ability to channel energy from surrounding forests neutralizes the Mistress of Illusion's hold over Faeren for short periods of time so he can leave.

My last foray into realism of 2008, which signified the return of my artistic motivation. Many personal references were used for lighting and detail, and a lot of experimenting with overlaying colors and various brushes for the background.
