This is the closest drawing I've found to how I pictured Deth. You did an excellent job capturing his expression. I also love how you drew him so young--I pictured him to have a sort of ageless, indistinguishable face, and it's brilliant to see him portrayed like this here as opposed to the Gandalf that the book covers kept drawing him as.

It's probably been mentioned already, but there IS just a touch of awkwardness with his left leg...otherwise, I'm in awe of the way you've handled the strings, and the beautiful sensitivity of the hair...just lovely!

I am now on the third book of this trilogy, and I am completely, completely in love. You have no idea how glad I am to find your art, which is just wonderful enough to express the feelings of McKillip's marvelous writing and convey her beautifully-wrought characters.
